Q. |
Do I really need it? |
A. |
No. You can live in a cabin with candles.
But if your project is substantial and will be connected to the Electricity grid you may
consider Energy Management, Integrated systems, central control, less wall clutter,
etc, at least worth addressing, if not essential. A Smart Home has become an expectation rather than an exception for quality projects.
|
Q. |
What will it cost? |
A. |
How long is a piece of string?
A small project can cost from $8k for backbone to 40k for everything. Large luxury homes cost from $50k to 400k. A Home Theatre System can cost from $15k to $250k. Electrical Cabling for a Smart Home is approximately 15% more than for conventional wiring.
|
Q. |
What if it breaks down? |
A. |
All systems are independent. They are connected by control cable. If one control panel is faulty it is easy to replace. In the event of a power failure the system will default to last command when power returns.
|
Q. |
Is it complicated to use? |
A. |
Not when it programmed by a SHS experienced professional programmer.
Switch caps are engraved, making it easy for others to use and are detachable,
making changes simple. SHS programming is designed for moods or scenes such as “Away”, “Welcome home”, “Entertaining”, etc. |
